David Hess, AIA is an Architect & Partner at Butler, Rosenbury & Partners. He joined BR&P in 1987 after receiving his Bachelor of Architecture from Kansas State University. Named partner in 1997, David is responsible for firm-wide project management, staffing and architectural design of hospitality projects. His experience includes hotels, convention centers, restaurants, educational facilities, and governmenal projects. When he's not at work, he enjoys renovating his 90-year-old house, reading and traveling with his family. David's primary focus for the last 15 years has been on hotel and conference center design with projects located throughout the United States. Over the past few years, this has expanded to international work with David participating in the design of several hotel projects in China, most recently in a competition for the Three Gorges Hotel interior design. David is a registered architect in Missouri, Georgia Indiana.
He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, board member
of the Rountree Neighborhood Association, past member of Springfield
Landmark Board, a graduate of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce
- Leadership Springfield, and he always has time for Friday night "pizza
and a movie" with his wife and three sons. He has served as
an adjunct professor at the Hammons School of Architecture and the Hilton Architect's Roundtable, a small select group of advisory firms, for three years. |
