Runner, cyclist and musician, Doug has completed three marathons, six half marathons including the Pike’s Peak Accent and has performed in front of a sold-out crowd at the Shrine Mosque Auditorium.

Doug graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1979 when he earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree. He joined Butler, Rosenbury & Partners in 1989 when BR&P acquired his architecture firm upon his 10th year in practice.

In 2007, Doug and his wife Deb, moved to Arizona where he is managing the Phoenix Regional Office, but in his past role at BR&P as Business to Business Studio Leader, he was responsible for local and regional commercial projects, cost and quality control, as well as client relations. His varied project experience includes office buildings, healthcare facilities, automobile dealerships, banks, senior living facilities, multi-family housing, fitness facilities, retail centers, mixed-use developments, hotels, restaurants, county government centers, convention and conference centers, churches, and historic renovations/expansions.

Doug is a licensed architect in nine states and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and is active in the Arizona Phoenix Metro Chapter. As a long-standing member of AIA Springfield, he served on the Board of Directors. He is an associate member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Valley Partnership and is a member of the Glendale and Southwest Valley Chamber’s of Commerce. A graduate of Leadership Springfield, Doug has served on their board as President. He also served as President of the Board of Directors for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Ozarks and on the Board of Directors of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce.
