Martial-arts enthusiast, Jeffery has been involved in martial arts for more than 20 years as a student, competitor and instructor. He currently holds multiple black belts and received an honorary black belt award in 2000, for Outstanding Service from the Mid-Missouri Martial Arts Association.

Jeffery graduated from Kansas State University in 1995 with honors, as a member of the Tau Sigma Delta Architectural Honor Society and receiving the Alpha Rho Chi Medal. Currently, Jeffery is the Business to Business Studio Leader, responsible for local and regional commercial projects, cost and quality control and client relations. His varied project experience includes multi-family housing, hotels, restaurants, financial institutions, religious structures, convention and civic centers, full and limited service hotels, educational buildings, industrial and manufacturing facilities.

Jeffery is a licensed architect in the state of Missouri. He is an active member of the American Institute of Architects and served as president of the Springfield Component, receiving a Distinguished Service award in 2005. He has served as an Adjunct Professor for Hammons School of Architecture at Drury University and frequently participates as a guest critic for student presentations. He is a member of the Developmental Issues Impact Group for the Chamber of Commerce, a past recipient of Springfield Business Journal's "40 Under 40" award and a graduate of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Springfield program, Class XXII.

Currently, Jeffery is on the continuing education committee for Leadership Springfield Alumni. He is a member of the Southeast Rotary Club of Springfield and also serves on the Professional Advisory Councils for Hammons School of Architecture at Drury University and the College of Architecture at Kansas State University.

In addition to his professional doings, Jeffery enjoys spending time with his family, wife Stacey and kids Shaely and Jonah. They like outdoor activities at the lake, playing golf and basketball.
